10th (TO)GATHER session strengthens international cooperation and co-creation within the associative movement
On 27 November, the Braga Youth Centre held the 10th session of (TO)GATHER – Meetups Associativos, an event dedicated to strengthening youth participation, sharing good practices and fostering collaborative work among local associations.
This edition featured a special presence from the Villa Elba Youth Centre (Finland), partners of the Braga Youth Centre within the Council of Europe Quality Label network. Their participation brought new perspectives on cooperation, youth work methodologies and strategies to promote active participation in youth contexts.
During the session, Portuguese participants from the Power to Participate! seminar, recently held in Villa Elba, shared learnings, reflections and ideas resulting from that international experience. Key takeaways included the importance of inclusive environments, creating opportunities for young people to take part in decision-making, and valuing interculturality in youth work.
The second part of the meeting focused on continuing the preparation of the initiative “Movimento Associativo Abre as Portas do CJB”, scheduled for 10 December. The associations present worked together to finalise activities, distribute responsibilities and align contributions for an event that aims to give greater visibility to the local associative movement and promote youth participation in the city.
The 10th (TO)GATHER session reaffirmed the Braga Youth Centre’s commitment to promoting youth participation, strengthening collaborative networks and bringing national and international entities closer together. The joint work carried out highlights the importance of creating meeting spaces where young people, organisations and partners can co-create solutions and strengthen the associative ecosystem.
The Braga Youth Centre thanks all associations, participants and partners whose contribution ensured the success of this session.
