CJB hosted young people from several countries during the RECIT’ACT international youth exchange
From July 10 to 16, 2025, the Braga Youth Center (CJB) became the meeting point for 20 young people from Portugal, France, Tunisia, and Georgia as part of the international exchange RECIT’ACT – Cross-cultural and Intercultural Perspectives on Youth Engagement and the Ability to Act.
Over the course of a transformative week, participants engaged in experiences focused on youth participation, intercultural dialogue, and the capacity to act both locally and globally. This exchange fostered not only learning and reflection, but also active listening, cultural sharing, and the co-creation of awareness messages on relevant social topics.
The program was co-designed by partner organizations and offered a rich combination of:
• Non-formal education workshops on global citizenship and civic participation
• Meetings with professionals working in the field of youth
• Cultural visits and local initiatives in Braga
• Intercultural evenings celebrating cultural diversity, talents, and gastronomy
• Informative moments promoting well-being, interpersonal connection, and reflection
The exchange culminated in the awarding of the Youthpass certificate, recognizing the informal learning acquired by participants. More than just an educational experience, RECIT’ACT represents a space for personal growth, active involvement, and the collective construction of a more just, inclusive, and participatory world.
