Educational Forum of the Quality Label Network – Council of Europe

The Braga Youth Centre attended the Educational Forum for Youth Centres of the Council of Europe Quality Label Network, held at the European Youth Education Centre of Magdeburg (EJBM) in Germany – the newest member of the Council of Europe Quality Label Youth Centres network.

The meeting brought together educators, technicians and youth workers from Quality Label youth centres and candidates for the Council of Europe Quality Label with the aim of strengthening cooperation between centres, sharing innovative educational practices and reflecting on the role of youth centres as spaces for democracy, inclusion and active participation.

Over five days of work and learning, participants explored key themes for the future of youth work, including:

  • The role of youth centres as “Democracy Hubs”;
  • The use of social media and its impact on youth participation;
  • Good practices in Quality Label Youth Centres;
  • Strategies to strengthen democratic resilience in Europe.

The Braga Youth Centre thus had the opportunity to share its experience and best practices, as well as to represent Portugal in this European network of excellence, which promotes the values of the Council of Europe — human rights, democracy, inclusion and youth participation.

This Forum reaffirmed the joint commitment of the network's youth centres to empower young people, strengthen local communities and consolidate a more democratic and united Europe.
